A mum-to-be is surrounded by countless resources and support for almost ten months of pregnancy, but once the umbilical cord is cut, the attention shifts almost completely to the baby, and she can easily feel left behind. Ironically, it is precisely this time that her well-being must come first. She is the source from which all life springs. But if her cup runs dry, then nobody drinks.
Over the past few years I have discovered a great passion in my mission to fill that cup for new mothers in my life. The First 40 Day Traditional Postpartum Support allows you to receive the best care you will need to recover, replenish and heal after the process of giving birth.
The experience of pregnancy and childbirth creates huge changes not only physically but also emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The postpartum period has a direct effect on your overall health and the subsequent years of your life. Postpartum Support focuses on the necessary care a newborn mother needs to have during this period, so she is able to have an optimal recovery and a strong foundation to nurture her baby.
My role is supportive, and I will be guided by the mother’s needs, wishes and decisions. During this precious time, my main focus is the mother's wellbeing - that she feels nurtured, honoured and happy. I am passionate about providing newborn mothers with the best possible care so they can honour this golden month without feeling exhausted, depleted and overwhelmed.
During this period I offer Ayurvedic Massage, Rebozo Massage, Shantala Baby Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Herbalism, Colourlight Therapy and Bach Flower Remedies. I am able to cook therapeutic postpartum food and prepare herbal tonics specially created for newborn mothers to assist the healing process and breastfeeding.
I am also happy to do anything that helps aid the smooth running of the household.
